There are times in our lives when we face problems that seem to overwhelm us with distress and discontent. These can include the challenges of grappling with difficult moods and emotions such as depression, anxiety, anger and self-doubt; the strains of navigating difficult situations at home, at work, or at school; and the complexities of adjusting to life-changing events such as a death, a divorce, a family crisis, or a major transition.
I work with all members of the family – children, adolescents, and adults – to make sense of these problems and to find satisfying solutions. In the process, I often help people resolve a different and deeper kind of problem that can magnify all the rest: disruptions in their most important relationships, especially those between parent and child, partner and partner, adult and elder, self and self.

My aim is to help families address problems in ways that lead them to cope more effectively, relate more positively, and live more joyfully. My services include counseling for young people, parenting consultations, and adult therapy for individuals and couples. I have specialized expertise in helping children, adolescents, and adults to overcome the obstacles presented by Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, ADHD.
I believe in the innate resilience of families. I believe in the commitment of parents to nurturing their children and supporting each other. And I believe in the power of counseling to help all family members access their innermost selves, openly share their thoughts and emotions, confront their most worrisome problems, and change their lives for the better.
